Jennifer Lemon – Body-oriented massage and psychotherapist
I began my career as a lecturer at the University of South Africa within the subject fields of Communication, Psychology and Gender Studies. This I did for 25 years and gained a great deal of experience and knowledge. As an intellectual activist I was driven by a desire to make a difference in life and in the world. During this time I also became more and more interested in the connection between body and mind which was a connection often neglected in the world of academia. And so began my journey towards my body, working with mindfulness and meditation, as well as dance, and biodanza in particular, in a search for the connection between body and mind and the connection between oneself and others.
In 2009 I moved to the Netherlands and began to study Co-Active Life Coaching and later Body-oriented (or Biodynamic) massage and psychotherapy.
I wanted to work with people, and with depth – I wanted to offer support to others, and to help people in dealing with the challenges in life. I wanted to help people to move actively towards rest and relaxation, to experience more joy and happiness. I want to assist people in their learning processes as they come to a deeper understanding of themselves. My passion is to help people with their personal development and growth, and to help people with the creative realization of their inner being.
My source of inspiration is my passion for the creation of a meaningful, healthy and loving life and the realization of joy and significance in life!
